Helping Teens & Young Adults

Being a teenager today comes with more stressors and expectations than ever before. Between school, social media, friends, family, and a desire to become a true authentic self- sometimes our teens just need someone to help navigate the rough road through high school.

There are many reasons why a teenager might benefit from seeing a therapist. According to the CDC in February 2023, the rates for teenage depression, especially for girls, is on the rise. This comes with an increase in our young people having poor body image, poor sense of self, feeling the weight of school pressures, and increased thoughts of hurting themselves or considering suicide.

Our teens are asking for help, and we are here to support them through some of the toughest years growing up.

Some might seek therapy because they are questioning their identity or sexuality, and are seeking a safe space where they can process their thoughts around who they are. For others, friendships, online bullying, and school pressures are contributing to their discontent. We can help your teen through the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and sometimes through the use of art, music, and the use of games and play.
